The Seeking Generation
The History:The Seeking Generation youth group (ages 13-18) was started in the summer of 2006 under the vision of Pastor Jonathan Mello, a young pastor and graduate of Teen Challenge. He was assisted by Allan Mosher, also a Teen Challenge graduate. His heart for youth led him to establish a group that would meet on Thursday nights as the Men and Women’s Bible studies and children’s events took place. God used him to cultivate a core group of local youth that became committed to coming out to learn about having a relationship with their Creator. As the Lord brought Jonathan elsewhere to fulfill his calling, He had already been preparing Joshua Burns to become the pastor of the Seeking Generation. The complete leadership team also includes Allan, Eric Huberty, Abra Hamel, Nicole Julien, and Erin Archer.
The Seeking Generation is the product of fervent and consistent prayer. There is no other explanation for the increase in our numbers, and in the preparation of the hearts of our members. We want to seek God’s face and to see Him move. The Seeking Generation is a safe and fun environment where we are honest about our struggles and committed to learning how a relationship with God changes lives. We conduct several monthly events to both enjoy God’s creation and reach out to others. We cordially invite you to come be a part of what God is doing through this ministry!
